Snow Day Professional Development Opportunity
Posted by: jabass at 9:21:32 AM
Overton High School's teacher-innovator hasn't been throwing snowballs and watching TV during these snow days. He's been educating himself and others with worthwhile Professional Development sessions. His latest has even been accepted as official PD through MNPS! Details are below, straight from Adam:
Snow Day Professional Development session today online worth PD credit.
GREAT news. Metro is going to put the PD sessions I have been doing into ERO and they will count as PD time. As long as you fill out the form at the end of the presentation, your names will be put into ERO when we are done. It will show up on the educators “my transcript” tab.
Broadcast #4 will be Friday at 1:00 pm CST, at this link, http://www.ustream.tv/channel/taylorchinesescience
We will be demonstrating how to use the WECN (World Educators Collaboration Network). This tool gives you 24/7 PD opportunities as well as 24/7 feed back from other educators - plus it's free. It is all about collaboration. Principals and Superintendents use it, too. WECN can also be an effective tool when teaching students in the classroom or over the internet.
This PD will also be for ERO credit the SRN is 20104102103
Thanks, Adam Taylor Overton High School
P.S. Please forward this message to anyone you think might like to learn. WECN isn’t just for educators. |
