Eakin toy drive honors beloved counselor

Each year Eakin Elementary holds a Toy Drive for Eakin students having financial difficulty during the holiday season. This year’s drive was renamed to the “Andrea Morrison Baker Memorial Toy Drive” in honor of their school counselor who passed away suddenly this school year. Eakin collected thousands of toys and coats as a result of the drive. The donations will serve 65 Eakin families totaling 215 children. In addition, each family will receive groceries donated by Whole Foods, HCA, and the Eakin PTO.
