It's not every day that a parade marches down the halls of an elementarys school, but at Glengarry, colorful clothes and flags were proudly displayed by students and parents from around the world on International Day!

Students at Glengarry study the different cultures and countries that are represented within their student body. On International Day, two classes who have studied the same culture do further exploration together. Parents visit the classrooms that have studied their native culture and give them more first hand information. Students and parents both dress in their native attire and bring their native foods to share with the students. The school even holds an indoor parade so that everyone can see.

This is the second year for Glengarry's International Day, and Principal Laurie Smith is anxious to continue to tradition!
