This fall, MNPS high school students have an extra tool in their arsenal. It’s access to Limitless Libraries, the partnership between Nashville Public Library and MNPS last year. All students in these schools whose guardians approve sharing students’ directory information with the Nashville Public Library will have automatic library accounts created for them. The benefits of this program are vast.

• First and foremost, the information resources now available to students is significantly larger than a traditional high school library.
• On top of that, it is fast, convenient and easy to use. Students can gain access when they need it, not during specific library or school hours.
• If the students already have public library accounts, their fines will be forgiven and their MNPS ID numbers will be added to their accounts.
• Students can now use a school ID as a library card!
• Another exciting benefit for our students is the ability to have public library materials sent to the school for pickup. This process requires parental approval, but is already highly regarded by students around the city as they begin exercising independence and practicing adult responsibilities for managing a library account.
