KAN Kickoff (Knights Around Nashville)

This is the kickoff day to our new volunteer emphasis. On this day representatives from approximately forty volunteer organizations will come speak to students in five, thirty minutes sessions to inform our students of their work.

Second Annual HFA Ghost Tours
October 27, 2005
This event was new to Hume-Fogg last year, but was a huge success, so we have decided to continue its run. Since Hume-Fogg is full of history and empty hallways, student tour guides will lead several tours through our currently unused basement to show others a part of Hume-Fogg that is rarely seen.

Homecoming
December 10, 2005
This is the grand finale to Hume-Fogg’s fall Spirit week. After a week of dress up days, class competitions, and school spirit, students celebrate Saturday night at Rocketown with the Homecoming Dance. Parent volunteers will be needed!!

SGA Olympics
March 17, 2006
This annual event is the finale to Hume-Fogg’s spring Sprit Week. The Olympics take place at Rocketown the Friday before Spring Break. Some of the featured events include tricycle races, karaoke contests, class relays and more!

Hume-Fogg Talent Show

This event typically takes place in mid-April and is a way to showcase the amazing talents of our Hume-Fogg students. Traditional acts include dancing, performing original songs, reading poetry and any other unique talents that our students may have.

KAN Follwup

Since this is the first year for our KAN program, the details of its followup are currently unavailable. However, our hope for this project is to have Hume-Fogg students volunteer in the Nashville community and form ties with an organization of their choosing.
